Cookie Policy

What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember your preferences and improve your experience.
Essential Cookies
These are required for the site to function. They include authentication tokens (so you stay logged in), session identifiers, and CSRF protection tokens. These cannot be disabled.
Analytics Cookies
We use minimal analytics to understand how the site is used (page views, calculator completions, feature usage). This data is anonymized and aggregated. You can opt out via the cookie banner.
Affiliate Cookies
When you click on product recommendations, the affiliate partner may set a cookie to track the referral. These cookies are governed by the respective partner's privacy policy.
Local Storage
In addition to cookies, Death Clock uses your browser's localStorage to keep your questionnaire answers, results and preferences on your device. For anonymous visitors this data never leaves your browser. If you create an account, the same data is synced to our database (Supabase, EU region) so it follows you across devices. You can clear it at any time via your browser's site-data settings.
Managing Cookies
You can manage your cookie preferences using the cookie banner on first visit, or by clearing cookies in your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may prevent some features from working.
